Content analysis of the mission and vision in the selected sector

Abstract:

Cílem bakalářské práce je realizace obsahové analýzy 145 sportovních klubů. Tyto kluby jsou součástí dvou nejvyšších soutěžích v České republice. Práce je zaměřená na fotbal, florbal, hokej a volejbal a jejich klubové mise a vize. V první části práce dochází k literárnímu rozboru strategických pojmů mise a vize a souvislostí s nimi spojenými. Šetření bylo provedeno obsahovou analýzou prostřednictvím kódů. Celkem bylo pomocí placeného programu F4analyse vytvořeno 991 kódů, které odkazují na dvě výzkumné otázky. Analýza vykazuje, že nejpočetnějším kódem v oblasti mise je to strategie a smysl organizace a obsahuje celkem 283 kódů, které jsou rozděleny do 10 podkategorií. Naopak nejméně početnějším kódem je směr organizace, který obsahuje 89 kódů a je rozdělen do 2 podkategorií. Kódování organizační vize mělo podobné výsledky. Nejpočetnější kategorií pro vizi to byl vliv na budoucnost, který tvoří 6 podkategorií a obsahuje 93 kódů. Naopak nejméně početnou kategorií je vázanost na vnitřní i vnější prostředí organizace tvořena 3 podkategoriemi s celkovými 50 kódy. Jelikož dostupnost mise a vize byla odlišná, odráží se to i na četnosti kódů, které mají vliv na samotný obsah jednotlivých misí a vizí.

Abstract:

The aim of the bachelor's thesis is to carry out a content analysis of 145 sports clubs. These clubs are part of the two highest competitions in the Czech Republic. The thesis focuses on football, floorball, hockey and volleyball and their club missions and visions. In the first part of the thesis there is a literary analysis of the strategic concepts of mission and vision and the context associated with them. The investigation was conducted by content analysis through codes. A total of 991 codes were generated using the paid software F4analysis, which refer to the two research questions. The analysis shows that the most numerous code in the mission area is that of strategy and purpose of the organization and contains a total of 283 codes which are divided into 10 sub-categories. On the other hand, the least numerous code is the direction of the organization which contains 89 codes and is divided into 2 subcategories. The coding of organizational vision had similar results. The most numerous category for vision was influence on the future, which consists of 6 subcategories and contains 93 codes. On the other hand, the least numerous category is the attachment to the internal and external environment of the organization made up of 3 subcategories with a total of 50 codes. As the availability of mission and vision was different, this is reflected in the frequency of codes that affect the actual content of each mission and vision.
