Where did the puppet disappear?

Abstract:

Diplomová práce Kam zmizela loutka? pojednává o současné situaci loutkového divadla v České republice. Pojmenovává a definuje, co může dnes znamenat loutka jako objekt, a jak se na ni dívá odborná i laická veřejnost. Mapuje vztah herce a loutky a hledá pojmenování pro nový fenomén divadla, pro který v českém kontextu neexistuje adekvátní pojem. Práce je rozdělena do dvou částí: v první části autorka představuje zvolené téma na základě kompilace literárních zdrojů, periodik a elektronických článků vztahujících se k dané problematice. V druhé části autorka provádí analýzu odpovědí plynoucích z ankety směřované odborné veřejnosti různých profesí v loutkových divadlech. Cílem diplomové práce je zachytit a zhodnotit dlouhodobý stav, v němž se loutkové divadlo nachází už od poloviny minulého století.

Abstract:

Diploma Thesis „Where did the puppet disappear?“ is about current situation of puppet theatre in the Czech Republic. It defines what the puppet can today mean as an object and how it is perceived by the expert and general community. It maps out the relationship between the actor and the puppet and searches for a name for a new theatre phenomenon for which there is no corresponding term in the Czech context. The thesis is divided into two parts: in the first part the author presents a chosen topic based on a compilation of literary sources, periodics and electronic articles related to the issue. In the second part the author analyzes the answers from the survey submitted to the expert community of various professions in puppet theaters. The aim of this work is to capture and evaluate the long-term situation in which the puppet theater has been since the middle of the last century.
