Managing telework as a job of a 21st century manager

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá prací na dálku a zaměřuje se na zjištění subjektivní spokojenosti vybraných respondentů s komunikací při výkonu práce na dálku. První část práce představuje relevantní teoretické základy jako definice pojmů spojených s prací na dálku, včetně homeoffice. Dále pojednává o tom, jaké jsou výhody a nevýhody této formy práce, či její úskalí. Představen je mimojiné i pojem Work-Life balance. Metodika seznamuje se způsobem měření spokojenosti a jeho následnou analýzou. Empirická část práce pak prezentuje a zpracovává výsledky výzkumu v podobě kvalitativního výzkumu a odpovídá na stanovený cíl práce, kterým je zjistit, jaká je subjektivní míra spokojenosti s online komunikací při práci na dálku u vybraných zaměstnanců ve vybraných firmách, které se rozhodly s autorem na výzkumu spolupracovat. V závěru práce jsou pak vyvozena některá doporučení, které mohou zaměstnavatelům pomoci k lepšímu řízení svých zaměstnanců.

Abstract:

The thesis deals with telework and focuses on finding the subjective satisfaction of selected respondents with communication when performing remote work. The first part of the thesis presents relevant theoretical foundations as definitions of concepts associated with telework, including homeoffice. It goes on to discuss the advantages and disadvantages of this form of work, or its challenges. The term Work-Life balance is also introduced. The methodology acquaints itself with the method of measuring satisfaction and its subsequent analysis. The empirical part of the work then presents and processes the research results in the form of qualitative research and responds to the stated goal of the work, which is to find out what is the subjective level of satisfaction with online communication when working remotely for selected employees in selected companies that have decided to collaborate with the author on the research. At the end of the work, some recommendations are made that can help employers to better manage their employees.
