Trade sanctions in the field of agriculture: practices of the Russian Federation

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá praxí Ruské federace při uplatňování zemědělských sankcí. Hlavním cílem práce je analýza použití sanitárních a fytosanitárních opatření Ruskem a nalezení souvislosti se změnou politických vztahů s některými státy v postsovětském prostoru. Práce je rozdělena do tří kapitol. První část diplomové práce se bude zabývat problematikou sankcí z teoretického hlediska. Druhá kapitola si klade za cíl definovat zemědělské sankce a znázornit mezinárodní praxi uplatňování sankcí. Cílem třetí kapitoly je analyzovat praxi Ruska pomocí konkrétních případů.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis deals with the practice of the Russian Federation in the application of agricultural sanctions. The main aim of the thesis is to analyze the use of sanitary and phytosanitary restrictions by Russia and to find a connection with the change of political relations with some states in post-Soviet space. The thesis is divided into three chapters. The first part of the diploma thesis deals with the issue of sanctions from a theoretical point of view. The second chapter sets out to define agricultural sanctions and to illustrate the international practice of applying those sanctions. The aim of the third chapter is to analyze the practice of Russia based on the concrete cases.
