The Alternative Forms of Travelling and Soft Tourism

Abstract:

Anotace Počet slov diplomové práce: 21 997 Předložená diplomová práce se zabývá fenoménem turismu a zejména alternativních forem cestování. Poukazuje na jejich problémy a ukazuje způsob, jak se s nimi vyrovnat. V rámci pohledu společenských a přírodních věd se snaží o uchopení a vysvětlení jejich vnitřních i vnějších aspektů. Na pozadí konfliktu mezi ideou a skutečností definuje jednotlivé typy alternativní turistiky a pokouší se podat jejich reálný obraz. K jeho stanovení využívá etických principů, jež obsahují koncepty odpovědného a udržitelného turismu. Ty reprezentují pravidla měkké turistiky, která usiluje o odbourání negativních ekologických a socioekonomických dopadů masového turismu. Kritickým pohledem pak zkoumá jednotlivé formy nového turismu a snaží se je zasadit do reálného kontextu nabídky cestovních kanceláří. Zároveň usiluje o jejich vzájemné porovnání nazírané optikou měkkého turismu. V tomto směru se snaží o i stanovení jejich celkové environmentální relevance. V konečné fázi definuje největší problémy alternativního turismu, které jsou překážkou jeho pozitivního přístupu.

Abstract:

This graduation thesis deals with the subject of the phenomenon of tourism. Mainly of alternative forms of travelling. This thesis points at problems and shows the way how to solve these problems. By the point of view of social and natural sciences tries to get and explain their internal and external aspects. On the background of conflict between idea and reality definates individual types of the alternative tourism and tries to show their real face. Ethical principles containing concepts of responsible and sustainable tourism are used for setting this face. These principles are represented by the rules of soft tourism. This tourism tries to reduce negative ecological and socioeconomical impacts of mass tourism. Individual forms of this new tourism are critically searched. And then they are contextualized in the offer of travel agencies. This thesis aspires to mutual comparsion by the focus of soft tourism and specifies their total environmental relevance as well. In final phase are definated greatest problems of alternative tourism standing in the way of positive approach.
