The Seminar of Ethics Education in the Third Year at General Upper Secondary School

Abstract:

Magisterská diplomová práce se zabývá seminářem etické výchovy ve třetím ročníku gymnázia. Cílem je popsat charakteristiky didaktických metod, jež jsou uplatňovány v kruhovém uspořádání školní třídy, ve kterém se etická výchova odehrává. Práce má teoreticko-empirický charakter a obsahuje kvalitativní výzkumné šetření. První kapitola se zabývá školou jako činitelem řízené socializace. Pozornost je věnována výchovnému působení školy během edukačního procesu, v rámci kterého probíhá také výchova k hodnotám. Ve druhé kapitole představuji analýzu společenských hodnot, jež se vyskytují v dokumentech plánovaného kurikula. Třetí kapitola se věnuje etické výchově ve formě samostatného školního předmětu, jeho obsahu a vyučovacím metodám. V úvodu empirické části práce je představena metodologie výzkumného šetření, která zahrnuje popis výzkumných metod, způsob analýzy empirických dat a také etické aspekty výzkumu. Následně jsou popsány charakteristiky škol, na kterých sběr dat probíhal. Další kapitola se již věnuje interpretaci empirických dat a zodpovězení výzkumné otázky. V této části je pozornost věnována podobě prostorového uspořádání etické výchovy a postupně jsou představeny jednotlivé charakteristiky uplatňovaných didaktických metod.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis deals with a seminar of ethics education in the third year at general upper secondary school. The goal of this thesis is to describe characteristics of teaching methods that are used in the circular arrangement of the classroom during the seminar of ethics education. The thesis has theoretical-empirical character and contains a qualitative research project. The first chapter deals with school as a controlled socialization factor. Then thesis is focused on educational influence of the school during education process and education in values concretely. The second chapter introduces analysis of social values which are contained in intended curriculum. The third chapter is devoted to ethics education as a school seminar and its content and teaching methods. In the empirical part is firstly introduced the methodology of the research that includes description of methods, way of data analysis and ethical aspect of research. Subsequently there were described the characteristics of schools where research was realized. The next chapter is devoted to interpretation of empirical data and answer to the research question. This part of thesis introduced the circular arrangement of the classroom and is focused on five characteristics of teaching methods that are used in the seminar of ethics education.
