The development of peripheral regions: the case study of mikroregion Ploština

Abstract:

Hlavním cílem bakalářské práce je zhodnocení problematiky rurálních a periferních oblastí ve vztahu k prostředí v České republice a Moravskoslovenském pohraničí s konkrétním zaměřením na mikroregion Ploština. Tato práce je rozdělena do dvou částí, teoretické a praktické. Teoretická část zahrnuje problematiku venkova, periferních oblastí, pohraniční a přeshraniční spolupráce. Na základě dostupných dat a literatury je zhodnocena relevance tématu pro české a moravsko-slovenské pohraničí. Praktická část analyzuje na základě získaných a zpracovaných dat současný stav socioekonomické situace obcí mikroregionu Ploština; zejména pomocí socioekonomických ukazatelů (vývoj počtu obyvatel, index stáří, míra nezaměstnanosti, počet uchazečů o zaměstnání a jiné) a charakteristik dílčích odvětví socioekonomické sféry (dopravní infrastruktura, ekonomické subjekty, cestovní ruch, životní prostředí, technická infrastruktura, vzdělání, kultura aj), které mohou mít pozitivní či negativní vliv na další vývoj mikroregionu.

Abstract:

The main aim of this thesis is to evaluate the problems of rural and peripheral areas in relation to the environment in the Czech Republic, Moravian and Slovakian border with a particular focus on micro-region Ploština. This work is divided into two parts, namely a theoretical and practical one. The theoretical part includes the issue of rural and peripheral areas, border and cross-border cooperation. Based on the available data and literature, the relevance of the topic in terms of Czech and Moravian-Slovak border region is reviewed. The practical part analyzes the socio-economic situation of the micro-region Ploština on the basis of the processed data and it describes the current state of the socio-economic situation of the micro-region Ploština especially via socio-economic indicators (population growth development, ageing index, unemployment rate, the number of job seekers, and others) and the socio-economic characteristics of the sub-sector (transport infrastructure, businesses, tourism, environment, infrastructure, education, culture, etc) which may have a positive or negative influence on the further development of the micro-region.
