Future accountants in the context of digitization and automatization

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá pohledem na účetní ve světle digitalizace, automatizace a robotizace, respektive jak se mění postavení účetních na trhu práce s vývojem moderních technologií. V práci lze nalézt názory oslovených významných odborníků v oblasti účetnictví, spřízněných profesí a zástupců státní sféry na postavení účetních a jejich případné ukotvení v legislativě. Diplomová práce upozorňuje na možné příležitosti a hrozby moderních technologií a s tím spojenou úroveň digitální konkurenceschopnosti České republiky. Dále se práce zaměřuje i na dovednosti a kvalifikaci účetních, které jsou nezbytné k výkonu práce, jakož i na organizace, které účetní v České republice zastřešují.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis summarizes the view of accountants in the light of digitalization, automation and robotization, respectively how the position of accountants is changing on the labor market due to the development of modern technologies. The public opinion can be found there as well as opinion of related professions and representatives of the state on the position of accountants and their possible anchoring in legislation. The thesis draws attention to the potential opportunities and threats of modern technologies and the level of digital literacy in the Czech Republic. Furthermore, the thesis focuses on the skills and qualifications of accountants, which are necessary for performance of this profession, as well as organizations that cover accounting profession in the Czech Republic.
