Collectivisation of the countryside in 50s of the 20th century

Abstract:

Práce „Kolektivizace venkova v 50. letech 20. Století“ mapuje průběh „Akce Kulak“ v obci Hradešice. V úvodu zmiňuji, jak bylo nahlíženo na kolektivizaci Karlem Marxem a Friedrichem Engelsem v jejich díle Komunistický manifest, z něhož následně čerpala ideály Komunistická strana Sovětského Svazu (KSSS). Dále se zaměřuji na období nástupu komunismu v Československu a na evoluci v jeho postojích k venkovu a kolektivizaci. V hlavní části se práce zabývá obdobím 50. let 20. století v obci Hradešice (okres Klatovy). Práce zkoumá i dopad na jednotlivé rodiny.

Abstract:

The thesis "Rural Collectivization in the 1950s" maps the course of the "Akce Kulak" in the village of Hradešice. Initially it describes how the process of collectivization was viewed by Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels in their book The Communist Manifesto from which the Communist Party of the Soviet Union (CPSU) drew its foundational principles. The thesis continues by defining the period of the rise of communism in Czechoslovakia and the evolution in its attitudes toward the countryside and collectivization. The main part of this thesis deals with the mid-twentieth century in the village of Hradešice (in the district of Klatovy) and the Impact of collectivization on individual families there.
