Characteristics of microorganisms degrading phenol under the influence of heavy metals
Abstract:
Cílem práce bylo testování 20 vybraných bakteriálních kmenů pro jejich schopnost růstu na fenolu jako jediném zdroji uhlíku a energie na minerálním médiu při 25 °C. Při koncentraci fenolu 0,25 g/l byly všechny testované mikroorganismy schopny růstu. Vyšší koncentrace fenolu (0,5 g/l a 0,75 g/l) již působily na některé kmeny inhibičně. Abstract:
The purpose of this work was to test the ability of selected bacterial strains to grow on phenol as a sole source of carbon and energy in the mineral medium at 25 °C. All tested microorganisms were able to grow at phenol concentration 0.25 g/L. Higher phenol concentrations (0.5 g/L and 0.75 g/L) inhibited the growth of several strains.
