Social economy as a model of solving unemployment problem

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá sociální ekonomikou a způsobem jejího uplatnění v zaměstnávání osob znevýhodněných na pracovním trhu. Nejprve informuje o třetím sektoru, dále popisuje historický vývoj konceptu, vztah k ziskovému a neziskovému sektoru a v poslední kapitole teoretické části informuje o možnostech, které sociální ekonomika spolu s Evropskou komisí nabízí pro řešení otázky nezaměstnanosti. Prostřednictvím polostrukturovaných rozhovorů s úspěšnými žadateli grantového projektu Evropského sociálního fondu v České republice přináší praktická část práce informace o nových sociálních podnicích, které vznikly za přispění grantu. Popisuje zejména hlediska, která ovlivnila volbu předmětu podnikání a volbu podporované cílové skupiny, věnuje se i personálnímu obsazení těchto sociálních podniků a v neposlední řadě identifikuje přínosy a negativa, které získání grantu žadatelům přineslo.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with the social economy and the way of its application to the employment of people socially challenged in the everyday job market conditions. First, it offers information about the third sector, then it describes the historical development of the concept, and the profit and nonprofit sector relations. The last chapter of the theoretical part elaborates about possibilities the social economy offers in collaboration with the European Commission to solve the unemployment problem. The practical part of the thesis brings the information about the new social enterprises created as a result of the project the European Social Fund granted in the Czech Republic. The information is based on the semi-structured interviews with the successfull applicants of the project. It concentrates on criteria which affected the choice of a business product and the selection of a supported target group. It deals with the human resources issues in the social enterprises, and finally, it identifies the positives and negatives the applicants experienced in this granted project.
