Financial Analysis of a company

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce je cílena na realizaci kompletní finanční analýzy jediného výrobce motorových lokomotiv určených pro posunovací a traťovou službu, společnosti CZ LOKO, a. s. Na poměrně obsáhlou rešeršní část navazuje analýza absolutních a poměrových ukazatelů, provedena je též analýza metodami komplexního hodnocení podniku, analýza výkazů cash flow. Společnost CZ LOKO, a. s. je porovnána s odvětvím. Je znatelný růst celkového objemu aktiv a pasiv, bilanční sumy, přidané hodnoty či provozního hospodářského výsledku. Z provedené analýzy vyplývá, že společnost se zejména ke konci období vyvíjí pozitivně, přičemž poměrně kritickým byl rok 2015. Vysoký objem investic je příčinou nepříznivých hodnot ukazatelů ekonomické přidané hodnoty. Stejně tak vysoké hodnoty ukazatelů doby obratu inkasa pohledávek a splatnosti závazků mají svou příčinu – ve specifičnosti odvětví a produktů a rizikovém trhu. I přes to je společnosti CZ LOKO, a. s. doporučeno zaměřit se více na bonitu svých obchodních partnerů, dále pak přeměnit část finančních prostředků do dlouhodobého majetku a analyzovat též interní procesy v podniku a zvýšit tím tedy efektivitu práce.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis is aimed at carrying out a complete financial analysis of the only the manufacturer of motor locomotives designed for shunting and railway service, CZ LOKO, a. s. A relatively extensive research part is followed by an analysis of absolute and ratio indicators, as well as the analysis of methods for comprehensive business evaluation and analysis of cash flow statements. The results of CZ LOKO, a. s. are compared with the whole sector. There is a noticeable growth of the total volume of assets and liabilities, balance sheet, value added or operating earnings. It results from the analysis carried out that the company´s development is positive especially at the end of the monitored period, with the critical year being the year 2015. High level of investment is the cause of unfavourable values of economic value added indicators. Similarly, the high values of recoveries and maturity of liabilities indicators have their cause in the specificity of the sector and products, as well as the risky market. Despite this, CZ LOKO, a. s. is recommended to focus more on the creditworthiness of its business partners, transform a part of its funds into fixed assets and analyse internal processes in the company, thus increasing work efficiency.
