Use of the Meir Schneider's Method Applied to a Pupil with a Binocular Vision Impairment

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce je zaměřena na využití metody Meira Schneidera u žáka s poruchou binokulárního vidění. Struktura práce je rozdělena na teoretickou a praktickou část. Teoretická část popisuje binokulárního vidění, školní věk a možnosti terapie poruch binokulárního vidění. První kapitola se zaměřuje na charakteristiku binokulárního vidění a jeho vývoj. Jsou zde uvedeny poruchy binokulárního vidění a jejich etiologie. Další kapitola pojednává o žákovi s poruchou binokulárního vidění ve školním věku. Zaměřujeme se zde na dopady dané poruchy na žáka v procesu vzdělávání. Poslední kapitola je zaměřena na terapii poruch binokulárního vidění. Speciálně se zde věnujeme ortoptické terapii a alternativním metodám. Praktická část má za cíl analyzovat využití metody Meira Schneidera u žáka s poruchou binokulárního vidění. Praktická část obsahuje případovou studii a orientační oftalmopedickou diagnostiku žáka. Je zde popsán průběh reedukace zraku a vyhodnocení rozhovorů s matkou. V závěru jsou vyhodnoceny výsledky výzkumného šetření.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis focuses on using Meir Schneider's method applied to a pupil with binocular vision impairment and is divided into the theoretical and the practical part. The theoretical part deals with binocular vision, school-age, and treatment options for binocular vision impairment. The first chapter focuses on the characteristics of binocular vision and its development. Binocular vision disorders and their etiology are presented. The next chapter discusses the school-age student with binocular vision disorder. Here we focus on the effects of the impairment on the pupil in the educational process. The last chapter discusses the treatment of binocular vision impairment focusing specifically on orthoptic therapy andalternative methods. The practical part aims to analyze the use of Meir Schneider's method applied to a pupil with binocular vision impairment and includes a case study and an orientation ophthalmic diagnosis of the pupil. The reeducation process and evaluation of the conversation are also described here. The research's results are evaluated at the end of the practical part.
