The influence of hippotherapy on post-stroke patients

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá fyzioterapeutickou metodou zvanou hipoterapie a jejímu vlivu na pacienty po cévní mozkové příhodě (CMP). Na začátku bakalářské práce je popsána anatomie mozku, důsledky, které z poškození mozku vyplývají a mozkové cévní zásobení. Dále práce shrnuje informace o cévní mozkové příhodě a stručně informuje o konvenčních metodách rehabilitace. Další část se věnuje hiporehabilitaci a jejímu rozdělení. Samostatnou kapitolou je hipoterapie ve fyzioterapii a ergoterapii, ve které práce informuje o historii ve světě a v Čechách, podmínkách pro provozování hipoterapie, její vhodnosti a nevhodnosti pro pacienty a přibližuje průběh hipoterapeutické jednotky. V závěrečné části se práce věnuje účinku, který má koňský hřbet na pacienty po mozkové mrtvici, pozitivnímu vlivu hipoterapie na fyzickou a psychickou oblast a krátce informuje o možnosti zapojení hipoterapie jako podpůrné metody ke konvenčním terapiím. Zmíněno je také použití robotického jezdeckého simulátoru.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis deals with the physiotherapeutic method called hippotherapy and its effect at patients after cerebrovascular accident (CVA). At the beginning of the bachelor's thesis, the anatomy of the brain, the consequences that result from brain damage and the cerebral vascular supply are described. Furthermore, the thesis summarizes information about stroke and briefly informs about conventional methods of rehabilitation. The next part deals with hiporehabilitation and its division. A separate chapter is hippotherapy in physiotherapy and ergotherapy, in which the thesis informs about the history in the world and in the Czech Republic, the conditions to run hippotherapy, its suitability and unsuitability for patients and describes the process of the hippotherapy intervention. In the final part, the thesis deals with the effect of the horse's back at patients after stroke, the positive effect of hippotherapy on the physical and mental area and briefly informs about the possibility of using hippotherapy as a supportive method to conventional therapies. The use of a robotic riding simulator is also mentioned.
