Estimation of capital structure for market valuation purposes in Czech republic conditions

Abstract:

Diplomová práce je zaměřena na odhad kapitálové struktury pro účely tržního oceňování podniku v podmínkách ČR. Hlavním cílem práce je zhodnotit, do jaké míry je vhodné přebírat průměrné zadlužení podniků obchodovaných na zahraničních kapitálových trzích pro oceňování českých neobchodovaných podniků. V teoretickém úvodu jsou vymezeny základní pojmy a vlivy, které působí na kapitálovou strukturu. Dále je popsáno, jak se kapitálová struktura promítá do ocenění podniku. Stěžejní část práce tvoří analýza kapitálové struktury ve vybraných odvětvích a vybraných zemích. Analýza probíhala na základě dat z databáze Amadeus a výsledky ukazují, že pro České neobchodované podniky není vhodné přebírat průměrné zadlužení zahraničních obchodovaných podniků. Důvody pro toto tvrzení jsou formulovány v závěru práce.

Abstract:

The Diploma thesis is focused on estimation of capital structure for market valuation purposes in Czech republic conditions. The main aim of the thesis is to evaluate to what extent it is eligible for czech private companies to adopt average indeptedness of foreign public companies. The main terms and impacts affecting the capital structure are defined in the theoretical introduction, as well as principles of how the capital structure is projected in the business valuation. The key part of the thesis is the capital structure analysis made in different chosen industries and countries. The analysis was conducted based on the Amadeus database and the results show that it is not eligable for czech private companies to adopt average indeptedness of foreign public companies. The reasons behind this claim are described in the conclusion of the thesis.
