Cena a předpokládané výhody spolupráce Kamerunu a Nigérie v boji proti Boko Haram

Abstract:

Sekta Boko Haram v povodí Čadského jezera, tedy v severovýchodní části Nigérie a podél hranic Kamerunu a Nigérie v oblasti Dálného severu Kamerunu, je spojována s globálními problémy terorismu. Tato teroristická sekta ohrožuje mír a bezpečnost lidí v tomto regionu i bezpečnost světa. Teroristické hrozby a jejich aktivity způsobily, že slabší národy spolupracují se silnějšími národy, aby se podělily o náklady a těžily z výhod boje proti terorismu, tato spolupráce má především bojovat proti takovým aktivitám. Partnerství mezi západními arabskými národy za účelem snížení nákladů a boje proti ISIS bylo velmi účinné a viditelně se projevilo. Po mnoha útocích Boko Harams bylo nutné, aby Kamerun a Nigérie vytvořily koaliční blok, který by čelil aktivitám této sekty. spolupráce mezi Kamerunem a Nigérií přinesla bilaterální dohodu, protože obě země mají za cíl ukončit Boko Haram a její aktivity, aby se tyto země mohly plně zapojit do globálního obchodu (globalizace) a přidat hodnotu svým produktům. Bylo zhodnoceno velké množství literatury a konceptů, aby bylo možné lépe porozumět charakteristikám a rysům Boko Haram, některé z těchto konceptů zahrnují válku, terorismus, konflikty a další. Ke sběru informací pro tuto studii byla použita primární i sekundární data, primární data byla získána pomocí dobře strukturovaných dotazníků a průvodce rozhovory a sekundární data byla získána z přehledů různých literatur ve formě článků, časopisů, noviny a knihy. K výběru respondentů byla použita účelová technika výběru. Velikost vzorku byla 22 respondentů, z nichž všichni byli muži a jsou to diplomaté, administrátoři a vojenský personál; je to proto, že muži jsou nejaktivnější populací zapojenou do boje. Výsledky byly prezentovány do tabulek a grafů. Hlavním cílem této práce bylo zhodnotit efektivitu spolupráce; bylo zjištěno, že od vzniku tohoto koaličního bloku byl zaznamenán velký úspěch. Konkrétními cíli bylo vysvětlit povahu a charakter této spolupráce a také zhodnocení nákladů, zde bylo zjištěno, že jde o spolupráci formou bilaterální korporace a došlo ke snížení výdajů podle výsledků analýzy nákladů nakreslený. Studie doporučuje častá setkání Kamerunu a Nigérie

Abstract:

The Boko Haram sect in the Lake Chad basin that is, in the Northeastern part of Nigeria and along the borders of Cameroon and Nigeria in the Far North region of Cameroon has been associated with the global problems of terrorism. This terrorist sect has threatened the peace and security of those in this region as well as the security of the world. Terrorist threats and their activities has caused weaker nations to collaborate with stronger nations to share cost and reap the benefits of counter-terrorism, this collaboration is mainly to fight against such activities. The partnership between the western-Arab nations to reduce cost and fight against the ISIS was very effective and visibly shown. After many attacks of the Boko Harams it was necessary for Cameroon and Nigeria to form a coalition block to counter the activities of this sect. the collaboration between Cameroon and Nigeria has brought about a bilateral agreement as both countries aim at ending the Boko Haram and her activities, so that these nations can fully involve into global trade (globalization) and add value to their products. A good number of literatures and concepts were reviewed to gain a better understanding of the characteristics and features of the Boko Haram, some of these concepts include war, terrorism, conflict and others. Both primary and secondary data were used to gather information for this study, primary data was gotten through the use of well-structured questionnaires and an interview guide, and secondary data was sourced from the review of different literatures in the form of articles, journals, newspapers and books. A purposive sampling technique was used to choose the respondents. The sampled size was 22 respondents which all were men and they are diplomats, administrators and military personnel; this is because men are the most active population involved the fight. The results were presented into charts and graphs. The main objective of this thesis was to evaluate the efficacy of the collaboration; it was found out that there has been a great level of success recorded since the creation of this coalition block. The specific objectives were to explain the nature and character of this collaboration as well as the cost evaluation, here it was realized that the collaboration is in the form of Bilateral Corporation and there has been a reduction of expenditures according to the results from the cost analysis drawn. The study recommends frequent meetings of Cameroon and Nigeria
