Abstract:
The main aim of this thesis is to discuss and analyse the use of disguise and deceit in the contemporary adaptations of the Sherlock Holmes canon, namely in the BBC series Sherlock and Guy Ritchie’s film franchise Sherlock Holmes. The thesis deals with the particular use of disguise as means of deceit, concentrating particularly on the characters of Sherlock Holmes and his main antagonist James Moriarty …more
