Plasticita orchideoidní mykorrhizy: od mutualistické symbiózy po mykoheterotrofii

Abstract:

Mykorhizní asociace je jednou z charakteristik čeledi Orchidaceae. Tento typ symbiózy se vyskytuje u všech jejich zástupců přinejmenším v raných vývojových stádiích. Oproti jiným typům mykorhizních symbióz je vztah mezi mykorhizní houbou a dospělou orchidejí z hlediska zisku uhlíkatých látek rozmanitější. U této čeledi nalézáme druhy, které jsou v dospělosti plně autotrofní a mykorhizní symbióza svými funkcemi připomíná např. arbuskulární mykorhizu. Na straně druhé existuje početná skupina orchidejí, jejichž nadzemní části v dospělosti neobsahují žádné fotosyntetické pigmenty a které jsou z hlediska své výživy obligátně mykoheterotrofní. Nemalou skupinu orchidejí tvoří druhy, které oba tyto získávání energeticky bohatých látek kombinují, označované za druhy mixotrofní. Cílem mé bakalářské práce bylo vytvořit literární rešerši, shrnující pokrok ve výzkumu orchideoidní mykorhizy v posledních pěti letech. Ten se ubíral zejména dvěma směry. Prvním z nich byl výzkum příjmu uhlíkatých a dusíkatých látek u obligátně mykoheterotrofních a mixotrofních druhů, zejména s využitím stabilních izotopů 13C a 15N. Druhým progresivním směrem je příklon od klasické morfologické determinace mykorhizních hub k metodám molekulárně biologickým. S jejichž pomocí bylo zjištěno, že mixotrofní a plně mykoheterotrofní druhy hostí druhy hub, které současně vytvářejí ektomykorhizní asociaci se stromy a které kromě třídy Basidiomycetes patří i mezi Ascomycetes. Tyto poznatky jsou v práci zařazeny do kontextu dřívějších poznatků o funkcích orchideoidní mykorhizy. Protože se populace této čeledi v rámci České republiky i celosvětového měřítka snižuje, měli bychom ochraně rostlin z čeledi Orchidaceae věnovat zvláštní pozornost. Ta je již ve většině zemí světa uzákoněna ve formě tzv. washingtonské koncence (CITES, Convention of Internation Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora; www.cites.org). Přesto k ní velkým dílem nepochybně přispívá i lepší pochopení fungování vztahu mezi orchidejí a její mykorhizní houbou. Výzkum fungování orchideoidní mykorhizy je tedy společensky velmi žádoucí.

Abstract:

Mycorrhizal association is one of the characteristic of the family Orchidaceae. This kind of symbiosis ocurrs in all representatives, at least during their early development stage. Liaison between the mycorrhizal fungi and orchid is various, in terms of uptake of carbohydrate during the adult stage, in contrasted to the other types of symbiotic mycorrhiza. We can find species which are obligate autotrophic and mycorrhizal symbiosis admonish about arbuscular mycorrhiza. On the other hand there are numerous groups of orchids, that are not able to be photosyntetically active because of lack of pigmentation in their above-ground part of plant. Because of this, they are called obligate myco-heterotrophy. A particular group of orchids, is represented by species, that combine both of these types of profit of carbon, called mixotrophy. I tried to write the background research for my Bachelor dissertation focusing on recent developments in the study of orchid mycorrhiza. The research proceeded in two main directions over the last five years. First of it was localizated to uptake of carbon and nitrogen in obligate myco-heterotrophy and mixotrophy species, especially when using of stable isotope 13C and 15N. The second direction is based on molecular biological methods. Thanks to these methods it was found that mixotrophy and obligate myco-heterotrophy species are associated with fungi, which are able to make ectomycorrhizae with trees at the same time. It was confirmed that the fungi belong to class Basidyomycetes and to Actomycetes as well. This knownledge is presented in context of previous knowledge about the orchid mycorrhiza. Because of dimishing population of the family Orchidaceae in our country, as in the most of the world, we should pay attention to the protection of orchids. Orchids are protected in most of the countries in the world by Convention of Internation Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES-www.cites.org). However to improve the influence of the protection of the family Orchidaceae, it is necessary to understand the relationship between orchid and mycorrhizal fungi. This is the main reason why the research of mycorrhiza in orchid species is very desirable for society.
