Reading Literacy in the Process of Education

Abstract:

Ve své diplomové práci se zabývám čtenářskou gramotností v procesu vzdělávání. V první kapitole teoretické části jsem se zaměřila na pojem gramotnost. Zaobírám se historickým vývojem gramotnosti, pojmem gramotnost a funkční gramotností. V další kapitole jsem vymezila pojem čtenářská gramotnost, roviny čtenářské gramotnosti a postavení čtenářské gramotnosti v RVP ZV. V druhé kapitole jsem se také zabývala faktory, které ovlivňují rozvoj čtenářské gramotnosti a vybranými metodami pomáhající při jejím rozvoji. V předposlední a poslední kapitole teoretické části jsem se zaměřila na výzkumy gramotnosti a osobnost učitele, který má při rozvoji čtenářské gramotnosti u žáků klíčové místo. Prvním cílem praktické části mé diplomové práce je zjistit, jaký význam přikládají učitelé 2. stupně základních škol rozvoji čtenářské gramotnosti v jimi vyučovaných oborech. Druhým cílem praktické části je zjistit, zda se liší míra využití a typ strategií, metod, prostředků a postupů porozumění, kterými ve výuce učitele rozvíjejí čtenářskou gramotnost, podle jimi vyučovaných oborů.

Abstract:

In my thesis I follow up the reading literacy in the process of education. In the chapter of the theoretical part I focused on the term ?literacy?. I refer to the historical development of the literacy, to the term of literacy itself and to the functional literacy. In the next chapter, I defined the term ?reading literacy?, the levels of the reading literacy and its position in Framework Education Programme. In the third chapter, I engaged in to the factors that influence the development of reading literacy and in selected methods that help in its development. In the next-to-last and last chapter of the theoretical part I focused on the researches of literacy and on the personality of the teacher who takes key role in the development of reading literacy of the pupils. The first aim of the practical part of my thesis is to find out what is the importance the teachers of the 2nd grade of primary school see in the process of the developing the reading literacy. The second aim of the practical section is to find out if the levels of use and types of strategies, methods, means and process of understanding, which are used by the teacher, vary by the teaching subject of the teacher and by the importance attached to the reading literacy by the teacher.
