Design and construction of cardboard seating furniture

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá návrhem sedacího nábytku, v němž je jako hlavní materiál použit papír. Před samotným návrhem je zpracována teoretická část, která popisuje problematiku ekologie, výrobu a recyklaci papíru, technologické možnosti zpracování papíru a přehled nábytku z papíru ve světě a v České republice. V praktické části je uvedeno měření mechanických vlastností vlnité lepenky a dosažené výsledky. Nedílnou součástí práce je návrh sedacího nábytku od prvotní skici a vizualizace až po následnou výrobu.

Abstract:

The bachelor's thesis deals with the design of seating furniture, in which paper is used as the main material. Before the design itself, a theoretical part is prepared, which describes the issues of ecology, production and recycling of paper, technological possibilities of paper processing and an overview of paper furniture in the world and in the Czech Republic. The practical part shows the measurement of mechanical properties of corrugated cardboard and the results obtained. An integral part of the work is the design of seating furniture from the initial sketch and visualization to the subsequent production.
