Socioeconomic potential of the Steam Mill in Telč and possibilities of its use

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce zkoumá socioekonomický potenciál Parního mlýna v Telči a navrhuje možnosti jeho využití. Na příkladu Parního mlýna v Telči práce objasňuje problematiku brownfields s památkovou ochranou. Teoretická část se věnuje problematice brownfields, definuje základní pojmy, představuje typologii, pojednává o příčinách jejich vzniku a způsobech jejich řešení a zabývá se specifikami projektů brownfields s památkovou ochranou. Praktická část vychází z rozhovorů se zainteresovanými aktéry a z rešerše dostupných dokumentů a internetových zdrojů a je zaměřená na Parní mlýn v Telči, jeho vývoj, jeho současný stav a dosavadní přístupy k jeho řešení. Socioekonomický potenciál Parního mlýna v Telči je vyhodnocen pomocí SWOT analýzy a v závěru práce jsou navrženy možnosti jeho budoucího využití a financování jeho obnovy.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis examines the socio-economic potential of the Steam Mill in Telč and proposes possibilities of its utilization. Using the example of the Steam Mill in Telč, the thesis explains the issue of brownfields with cultural heritage protection. The theoretical part is devoted to the problem of brownfields, defines basic terms, presents typology, discusses causes of their emergence and methods of their solution and deals with the specifics of brownfields projects with cultural heritage protection. The practical part is based on interviews with stakeholders and on a search of available documents and internet sources, and focuses on the Steam Mill in Telč, its development, current status and previous approaches to its solution. The socio-economic potential of the Steam Mill in Telč is evaluated using SWOT analysis and the conclusion suggests options for financing its restoration and possibilities of its future use.
