Rainer Maria Rilke: Poems from several poetry collections. Analysis, interpretation, creation of own translations and comparison of poem translations by other authors.

Abstract:

This master's thesis, entitled "Rainer Maria Rilke: Gedichte von meheren Gedichtsammlungen. Analyse, Interpretation, Erstellung von eigenen Übersetzungen und Vergleich der Gedichtübersetzung von anderen Autoren" deals with the translation of poems by the author Rainer Maria Rilke from various poetry collections, their interpretations and analyzes and comparison of translation by other authors. The work consists of a theoretical and a practical part. The theoretical part is devoted to the theory of translation, the theory of translation of poems and the author himself and his work. The practical part presents selected poems, first the original is shown, next to the own translation with an outline of the types of rhymes, then the poem is analyzed, interpreted and the own translation is commented. Furthermore, other versions of translations by other authors are presented and discussed further. The aim of the thesis is to find out how the translator's thinking differs from the meaning of the author's original poem.

Abstract:

Tato magisterská diplomová práce s názvem "Rainer Maria Rilke: Gedichte von mehreren Gedichtsammlungen. Analyse, Interpretation, Erstellung von eigenen Übersetzungen und Vergleich der Gedichtübersetzung von anderen Autoren" se zabývá překladem básní autora Rainer Maria Rilka z různých básnických sbírek, jejich interpretacemi a analýzami a porovnání překladu od jiných autorů. Práce se skládá z teoretické a praktické části. Teoretická část se věnuje teorii překladu, teorii překladu básní a samotnému autorovi a jeho tvorbě. Praktická část předkládá vybrané básně, nejprve je zobrazen originál, vedle vlastní překlad s nástinem druhů rýmů, dále je báseň analyzována, interpretována a je komentován vlastní překlad. Dále jsou předloženy a dále rozebírány další verze překladů jiných autorů. Cílem práce je zjistit, jak se překladatelovo myšlení odlišuje od smyslu původní básně autora.
