Floods Situation Prediction and Possibilities of their Monitoring

Abstract:

Tématem této bakalářské práce je předpovídání povodňových situací a možnosti je-jich monitoringu. V úvodu teoretické části je nastíněna povodňová charakteristika území České republiky. Dále je uveden přehled právních předpisů spojených s povodňovou ochranou, na který plynule navazuje kapitola pojednávající o důležitosti včasné informo-vanosti o povodňovém nebezpečí. V závěru teoretické části je vysvětlen význam a činnost hlásné a předpovědní povodňové služby. V praktické části jsou uvedeny jednotlivé informační zdroje, které jsou prakticky využitelné při monitoringu a předpovídání povodní. Dále jsou v této části navrženy dvě pracoviště pro monitoring a předpovídání povodňové situace.

Abstract:

The subject of this bachelor's thesis is the prediction of flood situations and possi-bilities of their monitoring. The beginning of theoretical part outlines flood characteristics of Czech Republic's region. Next, is an overview of legal regulations dealing with the pro-tection against flooding followed by a chapter stressing the importance of early awareness of flooding danger. Theoretical part ends with an explanation of the value and operations of reporting and predictive flooding service. Practical part of this thesis lists particular information sources which are suitable for practical use in flood monitoring and prediction. This part also contains a proposition of two workstations intended for monitoring and prediction of flood situation.
