Greece in the European Internal Market and the Greek competitiveness

Abstract:

Diplomová práce pojednává o řeckém hospodářství a jeho konkurenceschopnosti. Mým hlavním cílem je analyzovat postavení Řecka ve vnitřním trhu Evropské unie a posoudit konkurenceschopnost řecké ekonomiky v mezinárodním srovnání. Práce se skládá z pěti částí. V první části charakterizuji řecké hospodářství a jeho sektory, ve druhé se zabývám vývojem makroekonomických ukazatelů a aktuální ekonomickou situací. Třetí část je věnována struktuře národního hospodářství a čtvrtá integraci a postavení Řecka v rámci EU. V poslední části se zabývám konkurenceschopností v teorii a praxi za pomoci mezinárodních hodnocení.

Abstract:

The thesis deals with the Greek economy and its competitiveness. My main aim is to analyze the position of Greece in the EU internal market and to assess the competitiveness of the Greek economy in international comparison. In the first part I characterize the Greek economy and its sectors; the second part is concerned with the development of macroeconomic indicators and the current economic situation. The third part is devoted to the structure of the national economy and the fourth part to the integration and position of Greece in the EU. The last section deals with competitiveness in the theory and experience with the help of the international reports.
