This thesis deals with the CLIL method (with its variant called soft CLIL specifically) and its application into the lessons of the German language at the lower secondary school level. Jádrem diplomová práce je metoda CLIL (konkrétněji její varianta soft CLIL) a její aplikace v hodinách německého jazyka na základní škole. Na CLIL je v této práci nahlíženo z pohledu motivace. V rámci práce byly vytvořeny vyučovací hodiny s aktivitami založenými na principech metody CLIL.
