Employment of foreign nationals in the territory of the Czech Republic

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou zaměstnávání cizích státních příslušníků na území České republiky. Zaměřuje se na zahraniční občany z členských států Evropské Unie, Evropského hospodářského prostoru a Švýcarska a na cizince z tak zvaných třetích zemí v postavení zaměstnanců. Teoretická část vymezuje uvedenou problematiku a definuje odbornou terminologii ze sféry zaměstnávání cizích státních příslušníků na území České republiky. Teoretická část diplomové práce se rovněž zabývá vývojem zahraniční zaměstnanosti, podmínkami přístupu zahraničních zaměstnanců na český trh práce, nelegálním zaměstnáváním a integrací cizích státních příslušníků. Součástí diplomové práce v praktické části je velmi podrobná analýza statistických dat na území České republiky. Data jsou dále vyhodnocována na úrovni krajů a okresů České republiky. Praktická část je završena návrhy doporučení pro praxi, jež vyplývají z regionální analýzy vytvořené na podkladě bohaté poznatkové základny.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis deals with the topic of employment of foreign nationals on the territory of Czech Republic. It focuses on the specific conditions regarding the possible employment of citizens coming, on one side, from European Union member states, from European Economic Area or Switzerland, and, on the other side, citizens coming from so-called third countries. The theoretical part of the thesis presents an overview of the topic, and explains also the specific terminology used in the field of foreign employment in the Czech Republic. The theoretical part of the thesis also describes the historical development of foreign emloyment, conditions for the entry of foreign nationals into the czech labour market, it mentions also the topic of illegal employment and finally treats the question related to the integration of foreigners. The practical part of the diploma thesis presents a detailed analysis of available statistical data relative to foreigners in the Czech Republic. The data are developed at the regional and district level. Finally, the practical part, based on a rich regional analysis and a deep knowledge of the matter, offers some recommendations for possible implementation into practice.
