Diplomová práca sa venuje otázke rozdelenia Nemecka po druhej svetovej vojne počas vlády administratívy amerického prezidenta Trumana a postupnému zhoršovaniu sa vzťahov medzi USA a ZSSR. Analyzovaná a rozoberaná nie je len politická ale aj vojenská, bezpečnostná a ekonomická oblasť v časovom horizonte 1945-1953.
