Imaging of spinal trauma using computed tomography

Abstract:

U traumatických poranění mají zobrazovací metody velký přínos pro správnou diagnostiku poranění. Důležitá je rychlost a kvalita zobrazení, především u poranění ohrožujících život pacienta. U poranění páteře je důležitá rychlost a přesnost vyšetření. Všechny tyto vlastnosti dokáže nabídnout vyšetření výpočetní tomografií. Proto bych chtěl traumatickým poškozením páteře věnovat celou svou práci. V teoretické části bych Vás seznámil se základní anatomií páteře, s traumatologií páteře a také s jednou z nejrychleji rozvíjející se zobrazovací metodou ? výpočetní tomografií. V praktické části Vás pak seznámím s mechanismy poranění a s vlivem ročního období na zvýšený výskyt traumatických poškození páteře. S pomocí těchto faktorů stanovím také nejohroženější skupinu osob právě traumatickým poškozením páteře. Všechna data, ze kterých vycházím, byla získána z Nemocničního informačního systému a vztahují se na klienty, kteří byli diagnostikováni s traumatickým poškozením páteře na pracovišti Výpočetní tomografie 2 ve Fakultní nemocnici Ostrava v roce 2012.

Abstract:

Imaging methods have great benefits for the correct diagnosis of traumatic injuries. Important is mainly speed and display quality, especially for life-threatening injuries. By the spinal injuries is important speed and precision of the screening. All these features offers computed tomography. Therefore, I would like to dedicate this whole work to the traumatic spinal injuries. In the theoretical part, I would like to acquaint you with the basic anatomy of the spine, the spinal traumatology and also one of the fastest growing imaging methods ? computed tomography. In the practical part I will inform you about the mechanisms of injuries and the impact of a season on the increased incidence of traumatic injuries. With these factors I´ll provide the most vulnerable group of people suffering from traumatic spine injuries. All the data, which I proceed from, was obtained from the Hospital information system and applies to clients who have been diagnosed with traumatic spinal injury in the workplace Computed tomography 2 at the Fakultní nemocnici Ostrava in 2012.
