Dynamics of the Human Right Priority in Czech Foreign Policy

Abstract:

Tématem této práce jsou lidská práva jako priorita české zahraniční politiky a jejich dynamika. Cílem práce je charakterizovat českou zahraniční politiku v oblasti lidských práv v období od vzniku České republiky do roku 2013 a v období od roku 2014 do současnosti a provést jejich vzájemnou komparaci. První kapitola, teoretická, je věnována vymezení lidských práv, jejich možné role v zahraniční politice malého státu a analytického rámce pro následné zkoumání. Praktická část práce je pak zaměřena na charakteristiku vybraných období a následné zhodnocení jejich změn.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with the human rights priority in Czech foreign policy and its dynamics. The aim of this thesis is to characterize Czech human rights foreign policy in two different periods: from the beginning of the Czech Republic until the year of 2013 and from the year of 2014 until today and to compare those periods. First chapter is theoretical, it is focused on the role of human rights in the foreign policy of a small state. Practical part of the thesis is concentrated on characteristics of each period and on the evaluation of the development.
