Teorie bakalářské práce pojednává o komunikaci, vývoji dětské řeči, o jazykových rovinách a narušené komunikační schopnosti. Dále je zde obsažena teorie bilingvismu, jeho stupně a dělení a v neposlední řadě také vývoj řeči bilingvních dětí.
