Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá základním popisem funkce tepelné elektrárny, výrobou elektrické energie, jejím přenosem do sítě. Dále popisuje funkci a nutnost odsiřovacího zařízení v tepelné Elektrárně Mělník. Práce si klade za cíl zmapovat možnosti využití vedlejších elektrárenských produktů. This bachelor's dissertation deals with the basic description of functioning of a thermal power plant, electric power production, its transmission to the grid. It further describes the function and necessity of the desulphurization equipment in the Mělník thermal power plant.
