Anotácia:

Cílem práce s názvem „Výuka slovní zásoby: Použití metody Total Physical Response ve výuce adolescentů“ je zjistit, zda je vhodné použít metodu Total Physical Response (dále TPR) ve výuce slovní zásoby adolescentů, jejichž znalost druhého jazyka je na mírně pokročilé úrovni, a popsat specifické funkce a znaky použití metody TPR při výuce slovní zásoby těchto adolescentů. Diplomová práce se skládá z teoretické a praktické části. Teoretická část nabízí zejména popis metody TPR a adolescentů, jakožto zkoumané skupiny. Praktická část obsahuje kvalitativní výzkum, který byl uskutečněn na druhém stupni základní školy v Brně. Výzkum je proveden formou šesti výukových plánů postavených na metodě TPR a je odučen v šestém a sedmém ročníku.

Abstract:

The aim of the thesis titled “Teaching Vocabulary: The Use of Total Physical Response in Teaching Adolescents” is to find out whether it is suitable to use the Total Physical Response (or TPR) approach in teaching vocabulary to adolescents, whose knowledge of the second language is at elementary level, and to describe the features of the use of TPR in teaching vocabulary to these adolescents. The thesis comprises the theoretical and practical part. The main focus of the theoretical part is given on a description of TPR and adolescents as the studied group. The practical part consists of a qualitative research carried out at a lower secondary school in Brno. The research is conducted in a form of six lesson plans based on TPR and is taught in the sixth and seventh grade.
