The Role of the EU in the Palestinian Autonomy

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce, Role Evropské unie v Palestinské autonomii, popisuje roli Evropské unie na území Palestiny. Evropská unie má s Palestinou uzavřeno několik bilaterálních smluv, na jejichž základech je nastíněna jejich spolupráce. Spolupráce mezi EU a Palestinou existuje téměř ve všech odvětvích, v této bakalářské práci je rozdělena do 5 oblastí, bezpečnostní, ekonomické, kulturní, politické a sociální. Kromě těchto bilaterálních smluv má Evropská unie s Palestinou podepsány i multilaterální smlouvy, ve kterých Palestina vystupuje jako člen Euro-středomořského partnerství EUROMED. Cílem této práce je analyzovat roli EU a přiblížit jednotlivé projekty. Z důvodu nejednotnosti zahraniční politiky jednotlivých států EU vytvořila Společnou zahraniční a bezpečnostní politiku. Tato práce také stručně popisuje nejdůležitější body historie izraelsko-palestinského konfliktu. Je zde také vysvětleno zapojení EU do Kvartetu společně s OSN, USA a Ruskem. Klíčovou kapitolou této bakalářské práce je nový Akční plán mezi EU a Palestinou, který obsahuje body spolupráce pro období 2014-2020.

Abstract:

This bachelor´s thesis, The Role of the European Union in the Palestinian Autonomy, describes the role of the European union in the Palestinian territory. The European Union made with Palestine many bilateral contracts, which are basis of their cooperation. Thie cooperation exists in also every branch, in this bachelor´s thesis is divided into 5 branches, security, economical, cultural, political and social. Besides these bilateral contracts the European Union and Palestine made also multilateral contracts, in which Palestine plays role as the member of the Euro ? Mediterranean partnership EUROMED. The aim of this thesis is to analyze the role of the European Union and describes some of their projects. Because of diversity of the member states of the European union, they create Common Foreign and Secure Policy. This thesis also briefly describes the most important moments in history of israeli-palestinian conflict.There is also explained the engagement of the European union in the Quartet with the UN, the USA and Russia.One of the most important charter of this thesis is new Action Plan between the European Union and Palestine, which contains of cooperating articles for 2014 ? 2020.
