Simulation model of warehouse

Abstract:

Problematika práce je využití simulačních metod v podnikové praxi. Nejprve jsou vysvětleny skladové a simulační technologie použité v práci. Následně je převeden reálný podnikový sklad materiálu na počítačový simulační model. Hlavní část práce je věnována provádění experimentů na tomto modelu, které řeší reálné problémy ve skladu. V 1. experimentu se pomocí modelu hledá řešení, jak zkrátit čekání nákladních vozů na vyložení. Je provedena série experimentů, které jsou porovnány, a je určeno nejlepší řešení. Další tři experimenty se zabývají hypotetickou nebo budoucí situací ve skladu a na základě výsledků simulace je navrhován postup, jak se s nadcházející situací vyrovnat nebo jak se na ni připravit.

Abstract:

The issue of the work is use of simulation methods in real situation. First part of thesis belongs to explanation of warehouse technologies and simulation techniques used in the work. Follows a transformation of real enterprise warehouse to computer simulation model. The main part is focused on experiments on this model which solves real problems in this warehouse. Target of first experiment is to find solutions to shorten the waiting time of trucks. This is accomplished by series of experiments, which are compared and the best solution is selected. Another three experiments contains future or hypothetical situations in the warehouse. On the basis of the simulation results future steps and preparations are proposed.
