The bachelor diploma thesis deals with legal regulation of Czech and Ukrainian Family law and difficulties with translation of its terminology. It consists of two parts - theoretical and practical one. First part follows the development of legal regulation of selected family law issues in Czechoslovakia (Czech Republic) and Ukraine from 1917/8 till nowadays.
