Commented Translation of a Non-literary text from French into Czech Oriented on Tourism

Abstract:

This diploma thesis deals with the translation of a non-literary text oriented on tourism. The analysed passage of the source text includes sustainable tourism that preserves the natural, cultural and social environment. The first part of the thesis contains the text of sustainable tourism abroad and its translation which is the main subject of diploma thesis. Other parts are based on the stylistic, syntactic and lexical levels. They present fundamental problems in translation and offer their solutions. An integral part of this thesis is a glossary of terms emerging from the field of tourism.

Abstract:

Le présent mémoire de master traite de la traduction d'un texte non-litéraire orienté sur le tourisme. L'extrait analysé du texte de départ porte sur le tourisme durable ? l'étranger respectueux de l'environnement naturel, culturel et social. La premi?re partie du travail présente le texte du tourisme durable et sa traduction constituant l'objet principal de ce mémoire de master. Les autres parties fondées sur le niveau stylistique, syntaxique et lexical alléguent des probl?mes essentiels de traduction et proposent leurs solutions. Un glossaire des termes issus du domaine touristique fait partie intégrante de ce mémoire.
