Abstract:
Předkládaná dizertační práce se zabývá významem zvracení v básni Don Juan od lorda Byrona. Pomocí teorie abjekce a jazyka Julie Kristevy je zvracení koncipováno jako součást sémiotického modu jazyka. Dále se práce zabývá expresivní a emetickou funkcí, které rozpracoval Derrida. Práce se poté soustřeďuje na analýzu zvracení v básni Don Juan. Informed by the theory of abjection by Kristeva, Nietzsche's philosophical writings and the field of diet studies, the dissertation examines vomiting in Byron's Don Juan.
