Children view on the CAN syndrome and the link between CAN syndrome and behavioral disordes

Abstract:

Bachelor thesis is focused on two topics and their interconnection. The first topic is the syndrome of battered, abused and neglected child, so called CAN syndrome. The second topic focuses on behavioral disorders of children. The first chapter is concerned about syndrome itself. Firstly, the position of the child in the family and secondly explanation of the definition of the term, forms and signs of this syndrome including also situations , adults and children, who tend to suffer from this syndrome. The second chapter is focused on behavioral disorders, particularly their definitions , causes and dynamics of the development. The chapter also deals with the theory of resiliance , classification of behavioral disorders from couple different aspects and also is concerned about child that tends to suffer from the syndrome. In the third part of the research I have tried to determine to which extent do children have knowledge of CAN syndrome, personal experience and to which measure are consequences of CAN syndrome behavioral disorders.

Abstract:

Bakalárska práca sa zameriava na dve témy a sleduje ich prepojenie. Prvou témou je syndróm týraného, zneužívaného a zanedbávaného dieťaťa, tzv. syndróm CAN. Druhá téma je poruchy správania u detí. Prvá kapitola sa venuje syndrómu CAN. V prvom rade postaveniu dieťaťa v rodine a následne vysvetľuje pojmové vymedzenie, formy a prejavy tohto syndrómu, či situácie, dospelých a deti, ktorí sú voči tomuto syndrómu rizikové. Druhá kapitola sa venuje poruchám správania, konkrétne ich definícii, príčinám či dynamike vývoja. Ďalej sa venuje teórii reziliencie, klasifikuje poruchy správania z viacerých hľadísk a nazerá aj na dieťa v riziku poruchy správania. V tretej výskumnej časti som sa snažila zistiť, do akej miery majú deti znalosti o syndróme CAN, či majú nejaké osobné skúsenosti a v akej miere sú jeho následkom aj poruchy správania.
