Analysis of the 2007 Financial Crisis and Its Comparison to Other Crises

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce si dává za cíl zanalyzovat a osvětlit problematiku finanční krize z roku 2007. V obecném měřítku nejprve popisuje a charakterizuje podstatu finančních krizí, příčiny jejich vzniků a také jejich následky. To samé pak provádí v detailnější míře právě na finanční krizi, která vznikla v USA v roce 2007. Dále se snaží přiblížit průběh krize z pohledu vybraného podniku s cílem ukázat shodu nebo naopak rozdíly teorie a faktických okolností. V neposlední řadě pak práce srovnává tuto později už globální finanční krizi s dalšími dvěma vybranými krizemi. Výsledkem bude nejen jakési shrnutí důležitých informací o finanční krizi 2007 se silným důrazem na analýzu příčin a důsledků, ale také pohled zevnitř podniku na území České republiky, který autor výrazně podpořil vlastním výzkumem a zkušenostmi.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis aims to analyze and explain issues regarding the financial crisis from the year 2007. It initially describes and defines the general essence of financial crises and their causes and consequences. Thereafter, it pursues the exact same goal but in a more detailed fashion on the very crisis that originated in 2007 in the USA. Furthermore, it zooms in on the crisis from the view of a selected enterprise with the goal of showing how the facts either differ or correspond with theory. Eventually, the thesis compares this later labeled global financial crisis to two other selected crises. The result is not only a summary of important information about the 2007 crisis with a strong impact on the analysis of causes and consequences. But also the look from inside of a Czech enterprise, which was firmly supported by the author’s personal research and experience.
