This thesis addresses gaps identified in the Empaia Whole Slide Imaging (WSI) reference architecture implementation, which the RationAI research group utilizes. Empaia provides a robust platform with authorization and support for multiple WSI formats and a standard for AI applications in digital pathology. However, it lacks a flexible slide-importing tool.
