Práce představuje Julia Zeyera, českého spisovatelé druhé poloviny devatenáctého století z pohledu, který je stěžejní pro pochopení autorova díla. Zeyer byl významně inspirován francouzskou středověkou hrdinskou poezií při vytváření své Karolinské epopeje, Kroniky o svatém Brandanu a Zvěsti lásky z Provence. The work presents Julius Zeyer, the Czech writer of the second half of the nineteenth century, from point of view which is fundamental for understanding author’ work. During creating his Carlovingian Epopee, Chronicle about saint Brandan and The Tale of Provence Love, Zeyer was significantly inspired by French medieval poetry.
