Motivation of foster parents for long-term foster care

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce s názvem Motivace pěstounů k dlouhodobé pěstounské péči zabývající se otázkou motivace dlouhodobých pěstounů k rozhodnutí stát se pěstouny a převzít dítě do péče. Cílem práce je zjistit, za pomoci techniky desk research, co motivovalo všechny pěstouny z anonymních příběhů poskytnutých z doprovodné organizace a webu hledamerodice.cz, k tomu stát se dlouhodobými pěstouny. V práci popisuji aktuální dění pěstounské péče v České republice, dále zmiňuji metodologii výzkumu a v neposlední řadě klíčovou motivaci pěstounů, která vyplývá z mnou získaných příběhů pěstounů. Práce je provázána, teoretickými poznatky a informacemi získaných z příběhů. V závěru práce shrnuji všechny poznatky získané z příběhů.

Abstract:

Bachelor's thesis entitled Motivating foster parents into long-term foster care addressing the issue of motivating long-term foster parents to decide to become foster parents and take custody of the child. The aim of the work is to find out, with the help of desk research techniques, what motivated all foster parents from anonymous stories provided from the accompanying organization and the site hledamerodice.cz, to become long-term foster parents. In my work, I describe the current affairs of foster care in the Czech Republic, I also mention the methodology of research and, last but not least, the key motivation of foster carers, which results from the stories of foster carers obtained by me. The work is intertwined, with theoretical knowledge and information gleaned from the stories. At the end of the work, I summarize all the lessons learned from the stories.
