Cultural Landscape of the Žďár Region as a Destination Management Instrument

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá kulturní krajinou Žďárska a jejím možným využitím pro účely destinačního managementu. Hlavním cílem práce je vymezit klíčové charakte-ristiky žďárské historické kulturní krajiny, zhodnotit jejich využití v rámci současné soustavy destinačního managementu a navrhnout na základě zjištěných poznatků opatření vedoucí k efektivnímu využití potenciálu kulturní krajiny pro účely udržitel-ného destinačního managementu. Po vydefinování základních pojmů a trendů na poli destinačního managementu ve vztahu k fenoménu kulturních krajin je představena řada menších případových studií analyzujících současné spojení kulturních krajin a destinačního managementu na území České republiky. Hlavní těžiště práce předsta-vuje vymezení kulturní krajiny Žďárska pomocí dostupných metod a takto získané poznatky jsou následně použity pro vymezení žďárské kulturní krajiny jako možné destinace. Všechny klíčové poznatky diplomové práce jsou svedeny do SWOT analýzy, na základě které byla navržena série opatření aplikovaných na projekt Cisterciácké krajiny, kterého je Žďársko členem.

Abstract:

The thesis deals with the cultural landscape of Žďár region and its possible use for destination management purposes. The main objective of the thesis is to define the key characteristics of the historical cultural landscape of Žďár, to evaluate their use within the current system of destination management and to propose, based on the findings, measures leading to the effective use of the potential of the cultural land-scape for the purposes of sustainable destination management. After defining the basic concepts and trends in the field of destination management in relation to the phenomenon of cultural landscapes, a number of smaller case studies analysing the current connection between cultural landscapes and destination management in the Czech Republic are presented. The main focus of the thesis is the definition of the cul-tural landscape of Žďár region using available methods and the knowledge obtained in this way is subsequently used to define the cultural landscape of Žďár as a possible destination. All key findings of the thesis are summarized in a SWOT analysis, on the basis of which a series of measures applied to the Cistercian Landscape Project, of which the Žďár region is a member, were proposed.
