Comparison of the system of training of members of security forces within the European Union

Abstract:

Práce se zabývá komparací systémů odborné přípravy příslušníků Vězeňské služby v České republice a dalších vybraných zemích Evropské unie. Cílem je shrnutí zjištěných poznatků a jejich samotná komparace. První teoretická část se zabývá obecnou charakteristikou vězeňství, jeho historii a současnosti a také vývoji vzdělávacího procesu. Další kapitola je věnována tématu věznic, vězeňské službě, popisu Akademie Vězeňské služby České republiky a podrobnému popisu základní odborné přípravy příslušníků VS ČR. Poslední kapitola je zaměřena na vězeňství v Evropské unii obecně a dále shrnuje základní odborné přípravy a postupy Vězeňské služby praktikované v jednotlivých vybraných zemích. Druhá praktická část této práce popisuje komparaci jednotlivých poznatků zjištěných v části předchozí, a to konkrétně se vztahující k jednotlivým základním odborným přípravám Vězeňské služby jednotlivých zemích. Závěrem je pak uvedeno shrnutí těchto poznatků.

Abstract:

The thesis deals with a comparison of the systems of professional training of prison officers in the Czech Republic and other selected countries of the European Union. The aim is to summarize the findings and to compare them. The first theoretical part deals with the general characteristics of the prison system, its history and present as well as the development of the training process. The next chapter is devoted to the topic of prisons, the prison service, a description of the Academy of the Prison Service of the Czech Republic and a detailed description of the basic training of members of the Prison Service of the Czech Republic. The last chapter focuses on prisons in the European Union in general and further summarises the basic training and procedures of the prison service practiced in the selected countries. The second practical part of this thesis describes a comparison of the individual findings identified in the previous part, specifically relating to the individual basic training of the prison service of each country. It then concludes with a summary of these findings
