Dangerous Compounds and Cosmetics

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce s názvem „Nebezpečné látky v kosmetické praxi“ se zabývá nebezpečnými látkami, které se mohou vyskytovat v kosmetických přípravcích, jež běžně používáme. Účelem je upozornit na možná nebezpečí, rizika a alternativy výrobků, které jsou na trhu k dostání. Práce je zásadně rozdělena na dvě části. První teoretická se zabývá konkrétními vybranými chemickými látkami, jejich výskytem, jakým způsobem mohou působit na lidský organismus a případně, globálně, na životní prostředí. Do této části je účelně inkorporována i „přírodní“, resp. „BIO“ kosmetika s cílem osvětlit její přednosti, ale i možná rizika. Jednotlivé složky kosmetických přípravků jsou popsány jednoduchou formou vhodnou pro učitele středních škol předmětného obsahu, ale i jejich žáků. A to bez nutnosti ovládat složitější chemický aparát – čtenář vystačí s elementárními znalostmi chemie úrovně základní (až na výjimky) školy. V praktické části je shrnuta důležitost znalostí a výuky informací popsané v části literární. Souhrnně prezentuje návrh využití podkladů ve vyučovacích hodinách oboru Kosmetické služby, jakým způsobem je lze uchopit a krátkou prezentaci ke jmenované výuce.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis titled „Dangerous Compounds and Cosmetics“ deals with dangerous substances that can be found in cosmetic products used in everyday life. The purpose is to draw the attention to potential dangers and risks and to point out possible alternatives to these products commonly sold on the market. The thesis is essentially divided in two parts. The first part is theoretical and it deals with particulary selected chemical substances, where they can be found, what they can cause to a human body and what they can eventually and globally cause to the evironment. I've purposefully included „natural“ or „BIO“ cosmetics to shed a light on its advantages and on its possible risks. Individual components of the cosmetic substances are described in a plain manner to be suitable for the purposes of the highschool teachers and also for their pupils. The reader doesn't need to have profound knowlege in chemistry and doesn't have to be familiar with complex chemical devices. For the purposes of the thesis (with exceptions) the understanding of basic chemistry for elementary schools should be sufficient. The latter part is practical and it sums up the significance of understanding and instructing of information which is contained in the first. It collectively proposes how the mentioned data can be implemented in the course Kosmetické služby, how the data can be interpreted and it contains a brief presentation for the course.
