Structural design of a machine for automatic welding and assembly of engine covers

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá konstrukčním návrhem stroje pro automatické svařování a montáž krytů motoru. Práce nejdříve obecně představuje automatizaci a uvádí důvody, kvůli kterým je automatizace aplikována napříč různými oblastmi. Následně představuje různé koncepce výrobních zařízení, ze kterých se lze inspirovat pro zadaný konstrukční návrh. Poté je více popsána technologie ultrazvukového svařování, jakožto technologie využitá v popisovaném zařízení. Dále již následuje popis konstrukčního návrhu popisovaného zařízení. Konstrukční návrh začíná návrhem koncepce zařízení, vzhledem ke vstupním komponentům a požadavkům na výrobu. Je popsán konstrukční návrh zakládacího přípravku, konstrukční návrh koncových efektorů robotu a krytování zařízení s ohledem na bezpečnost a ergonomii pracoviště operátora. Závěrem je provedena studie strojního času a shrnutí konstrukce zařízení. Shrnutí je doplněno o doporučení a úvahu, možných rozšíření a vylepšení zařízení.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis deals with the structural design of a machine for automatic welding and assembly of engine covers. The thesis first introduces automation in general and gives reasons why automation is applied across different fields. It then introduces various concepts of manufacturing devices from which to draw inspiration for the specified design. Then, ultrasonic welding technology is described in more detail as the technology used in the described device. This is followed by a description of the structural design of the described device. The structural design starts with the design of the device concept, considering the input components and the production requirements. The structural design of the insertion jig, the structural design of the robot end effectors and the enclosure of the equipment with regard to the safety and ergonomics of the operator's workplace are described. Finally, a machine time study and a summary of the device design are presented. The summary is complemented by recommendations and consideration of possible extensions and improvements to the device.
