Lifestyle of children with the hemophilia disease

Abstract:

Cíl: Cílem diplomové práce bylo zjistit, jaký je životní styl dětí s onemocnění hemofilie a nalézt jejich specifické potřeby. Dále zjistit, jaký má onemocnění vliv na jejich rodiče. Metodika: Do výzkumného souboru bylo zařazeno 10 dětí s onemocněním hemofilie a 10 rodičů dětí. Pro výzkum byl zvolen kvalitativní výzkumný přístup ? fenomenologické zkoumání. Výzkumné šetření pro získání informací bylo provedeno metodou polostrukturovaného rozhovoru, který probíhal ve Fakultní nemocnici v Ostravě a také v domácím prostředí rodin dětí s onemocněním hemofilie. Analýzou dat byly stanoveny fenomény, kategorie a podkategorie. Výsledky: Výzkumem byly identifikovány oblasti životního stylu dětí s onemocněním hemofilie, zjištěny jejich specifické potřeby a vliv onemocnění dětí na jejich rodiče, dále byla definována doporučení pro praxi dětských sester, což bude jistě přínosem v péči o děti s hemofilií a jejich rodiny. Závěr: Ze zjištěných výsledků výzkumu vyplývá, že děti s onemocněním hemofilie se díky své nemoci stávají zodpovědnějšími ke svému zdraví, chovají se rozumněji a preventivně předcházejí úrazům. Vztah rodičů s dětmi je díky zkušenostem a starostem, které onemocnění provází, pevnější a bližší. Rodina si uvědomí důležité hodnoty, které jsou v životě podstatné a prvořadé.

Abstract:

Aim: The aim of the thesis was to find out what is the lifestyle of children with hemophilia and to find their specific needs. Furthermore, to discover how the disease affects their parents. Metodology: The research group included 10 children with hemophilia and 10 parents of the children. For the research the qualitative research approach - phenomenological examination - was chosen. The survey to gather information was done by the semistructured interview method, which was conducted at the University Hospital in Ostrava and also at the home of families of children with hemophilia. By the data analysis the phenomena, categories and subcategories were determined. Results: The research identified spheres of lifestyle of children with hemophilia, identified their specific needs and the impact of the disease on children and their parents, further the research defined recommendations for the practice of pediatric nurses, which will certainly be the contribution to the care of children with hemophilia and their families. Conclusion: From the observed results of research is suggested that children with hemophilia disease because of their illness become more responsible for their health, behave more reasonably and prevent the accidents. The relationship between parents and children is because of the experience and worries, which accompany the disease, stronger and closer. The family realizes the important values that are essential and primary in life.
