Abstract:
The thesis focuses on the issue of abductions of Japanese citizens by North Korea that took place in late 1970s and early 1980s. Its primary goal is to define the position this issue occupies in international relations between Japan and the DPRK, and to find factors that contributed to the forming of said position.
