Convergence of Political Attitudes of New Far Right and Esoteric movement in the Czech republic: Critical Discoursive Analysis

Abstract:

Práce se zabývá diskurzní analýzou facebookové komunikace protestního spolku HON a iniciativy Chcípl Pes v období let 2020 a 2021. Primárním cílem analýzy je identifikace hlavních diskurzních praktik, které sloužily hnutím k mobilizaci příznivců a podpoře tvorby jejich identity. Diskurzy nalezené v příspěvcích jsou porovnány se znaky teoretických definic krajní pravice, alternativního a ezoterického myšlení s cílem zjistit, zda jsou některé tyto znaky součástí zkoumaných diskurzů. Sekundárním cílem analýzy je prozkoumat, zda a jak se použité diskurzy lišily v průběhu sledovaného období.

Abstract:

This thesis studied Facebook communication of protest social movement HON and the Chcípl Pes initiative in the period of 2020 and 2021 using discourse analysis. The primary goal of the analysis was to identify the main discourse practices that served the movements to mobilize supporters and to constitute their identity. Discourses identified in the posts are compared with signs of theorethical definitions of the far-right, alternative and esoteric thinking in order to determine whether some of these signs are part of the discourses. A secondary aim is to examine whether and how the discourses used have varied over the analysed period.
