Wine and viniculture – genius loci and tourism in the Southern Moravia

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá jednou výrazně se rozvíjející formou cestovního ruchu – vinařským turismem, a to nejprve v obecné rovině, poté konkrétně na příkladu Jižní Moravy. Objasňuje vazby mezi vínem, vinařstvím a specifickou identitou místa, zaměřuje se na to, jak vinařství napomáhá utváření genia loci Jižní Moravy. V textu je popsán historický vývoj, současný stav a perspektivy vinařské turistiky na Jižní Moravě, jsou uvedeny konkrétní příklady vinařského turismu v praxi – vinařské akce a festivaly, pozornost je věnována také analýze jejich návštěvnosti. Součástí práce je i geografická analýza certifikačních zařízení vinařské turistiky. Část práce je zaměřena na Moravské vinařské stezky, jakožto významný produkt vinařské turistiky, který výrazně přispěl k jejímu rozvoji. Stav vinařského cestovního ruchu na Jižní Moravě je porovnán také se situací v sousedních vinařských oblastech – dolnorakouském Weinviertelu a Malokarpatské vinařské oblasti na Slovensku. Pozornost je věnována nejen rozdílům mezi jednotlivými oblastmi, ale především jejich spolupráci, která je v tomto odvětví cestovního ruchu velmi důležitá.

Abstract:

The bachelor's thesis deals with a significant emerging form of tourism - wine tourism. Initially in general, and then specifically on the example of the Southern Moravia. It clarifies the links between wine, winery and specific identity of place and focuses on how wineries are helping to shape the genius loci of the Southern Moravia. The text describes the historical development, current state and perspectives of wine tourism in the Southern Moravia. There are also particular examples of wine tourism in practice - wine events and festivals - and attention is also paid to analysis of their attendance. The work also includes geographical analysis of certified facilities for wine tourism. Part of the work is focused on the Moravian Wine Trails, as a major wine tourism product, which has greatly contributed to its development. Condition of wine tourism in the Southern Moravia is also compared with the situation in neighbouring wine regions - Lower Austria Weinviertel and Little Carpathians wine region in the Slovak Republic. Attention is paid not only to the differences between the different areas, but especially to their cooperation, which is in the industry of tourism very important.
